Les filles

The gals are at it again.  I can't hear them, but knowing how they are, I feel a new adventure coming on. Change of hairdo, new clothes, certainly their "look" is different.  Stay tuned to see what they will be bringing your way.

Silent Maiden

From another era, she walks through the garden, silently adjusting her steps to better manouver the changing landscapes from season to season. This maiden was built using chicken wire for the frame (I built out the skirt so that it would give her better balance. Her outfit is made out of material that has been soaked in Paverpol, I was not using Powertex at the time.of her “birthday” both of these products have websites that will give you the full description of their properties. Her face and under body is from Apoxie Sculpt, this is a product from a company calledAves. It is permanent, self hardening and waterproof.
Paverpol and Powertex are liquid hardeners, environmentally friendly, water based alternatives to polyester.  The Silent Maiden has been outside in the garden for many years now and she still looks good.  Some of her “friends” have not weathered as well.  Same is true in life.  Some of us weather better than others. =^_^=
May I?  this is from the book The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery 1900 – 1944
“Speaking to the Little Prince about love and life, the Fox says:  And now here is my secret, a very simple secret, it is only with the heart that one can see rightly:  What is essential is invisible to the eye. “
From the teachings of Buddha..
What is the meaning of the saying ” A cupful of water is more than the water of an ocean?”  This is the answer “A cupful of water given in a pure and compassionate spirit to one’s parents or to a sick person has an eternal merit, but the water of an ocean will some day come to an end.

A change of Heart can Turn the Tide

No matter the situation, you can't change others.  the only thing you have control over, is how you accept things and deal with them.

I love this picture, and I would love to be that person walking across that great divide.  Will I ever get there, maybe someday.  At times I have that same feeling though when I am dealing with challenges in everyday life,  Me balanced between two other areas in my life.  During such times is when I call into prayer, inner resolve, to be true to myself.

I start each day, as if it is my first time around.. and it is =^_^=  Each day is a new canvas!

Sleeping and bathing in Japan

When I first saw the set up, I wondered, would I be able to sleep.  But sleep I did.  I lay down and that was it.  I was asleep.  That doesn't happen to me here.
Shoes are left at the door.  When we step up  onto the sleeping area, we do so leaving the day behind us.  If you need to go out a again, to the bathing area, the toilets, you put your shoes on again to leave the room.   When there is no one in the room, the door is locked.
This is the area where we showered prior to entering the public bath (ladies only) There were a few standing stalls, but they were like the ones you see above, open, only the walls separated you from your fellow bather.
You can see the bath is a good size.  The water was kept at a very nice warm temperature, I actually found that taking the extra step of going into the bath, dropped the body  temperature so that the heat & humidity of the environment, was more palatable.
No clothing permitted beyond the door leading into the shower and bath area.  This is where we changed.  You can see individual wicker basket there for clothes, keys, brushes etc.

This was the area, for brushing one's teeth, doing your hair etc.  It is all very organized and well laid out.  Prior to my visit, I had not idea what to expect, now I do.
This is the area where shoes and slippers are left prior to entering the bathing area.  On days when there is a full house, all the floor area, and the shelves are full of footwear.
This was a little sitting area where we could get cold water or a drink from the ever present vending machines.  It was all new to me, a wonderful experience  that has filled my head and heart with warm loving memories.  A truly amazing experience that I will cherish always.

To Japan and back

A land of wonder, a land I had only read about and seen in movies or television. Never did I think I would be a visitor there.  But to further my spiritual studies and travel towards my goal of a lay minister with the Church of PL (Perfect Liberty) to Japan I had to go for intensive training.  A must is the participation in the Founders' Day ceremony. This holiday is August 1st.  People come in the thousands to pray, celebrate and be together on this day.  It is an awesome experience.
Through this ceremony, we honor the spirits of the First and the Second Founders and dedicate ourselves to spreading and sharing the PL faith with others for the rapid realization of World Peace.
Through lectures and talks, followed by group discussions we are better able to learn and practice the teachings of Perfect Liberty.
The whole training period is spent not only in learning via the spoken and written word, but by physically doing actions (i.e. physically washing a floor or sweeping the street) that are outside our daily comfort zones.
The fireworks that take place after the official ceremony are simply mind blowing in their magnitude.  I will be writing more about my trip on my other blog  http://dymoonblog.com  please join me there and follow the blog if you are interested in knowing more about my journey to Japan, and my life long devotion to PL which to me is the TAO
Loving one another is an everlasting gift we give ourselves.  Peace be yours this day and always.   Thank you for sharing this moment with me.   Blessings.

A prayerful mind

There are days when no matter what you do, by mid day, you feel like this.
Hmmm
Time for a >PL break<
Find a quiet spot, and take a moment to close your eyes and with a smile on your face, take a slow deep breath in, smile some more and slowly let it go.
You might have to work a tad to get that smile in place, but you can do it.
I know you can. =^_^=
Ahhhh with the smile, your shoulders will relax, let the smile broaden, then take another slow lazy breath.  1,2,3, you're ready to go.

Get back into your vehicle and ride back into your day.
You are refreshed and ready to play.
When next you feel the turbulence start to roar, and you want to once
again maintain control, remember

God Resides in a Prayerful Mind.  Touch your heart and smile. A peaceful state of mind, will get you anywhere, anytime and in anyplace.

In PL (Perfect Liberty) you are never alone.  I hope you will enjoy my journey with and in Perfect Liberty, follow this blog for notification of future blogs.
